What is a regulated mod?

Regulated mods are available as boxes or as tubes, with built-in battery or replaceable. What they all have in common is the use of an electronic chip that controls the device.

With these e-cigarettes, the steamer can easily change different variables and easily change voltage, power as well as temperature. This changes the volume and density of the vapor and leads to an optimal vapor experience. The control of these values is usually done via a clear display.

A big advantage of these chip-controlled e-cigarettes is that they offer numerous protection mechanisms. Whether overheating protection, overvoltage or undervoltage protection, but also short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection or draw length limitation - almost everything can be regulated.

In addition, many regulated battery carriers offer modern charging electronics, thanks to which you can safely and easily recharge the device.

What do these steam modes mean?

With regulated battery carriers, you can choose a different operating mode depending on your own preference.

TC Temperature Control. The vaporizer gets enough power to maintain the set temperature automatically.

VW Variable Wattage. The desired wattage output is set so that it is maintained regardless of the resistance of the vaporizer.

VV Variable Voltage. The voltage (volts) is set here and the actual output (in watts) then depends on the resistance of the vaporizer.

Bypass A mech mod is simulated here, but the protection functions for the battery are used at the same time.

Which regulated battery carrier should I buy?

Ideally, you can be well advised in a specialist shop and choose as a starting point a vaporizer according to your own preferences. Only then you choose to fit the battery carrier.

Weak vaporizers with a power of up to 40 watts are practical and small and require only one battery. With this power, however, no large vaporizers can be used for cloud chasing. Rather, they are suitable for MTL steaming (mouth to lung).

If you want to generate a lot of vapor, it's best to look for a device with a lot of power, with 200 watts becoming quite common here. Since this power can only be generated with 2 batteries, one ends up here very often with box mods that offer enough space for these. If one decides on one of these larger devices, it is recommended to get an additional charger for the batteries, in which one charges them evenly and married (always use together and charge together).
